Pheasants Wood Fishery is the North Wests newest carp, pleasure and match fishery with major redevelopment having taken place since Peter took ownership of the site in October 2020.
The original specimen lake, now renamed Woodcock Lake, has been doubled in size and now holds a healthy stock of Carp to 32lb with an average around 20lb. There are also a few elusive Catfish going over 42lb so be prepared for some hard battles when your alarms go off. A 5.5 acre lake with 11 generously sized pegs gives anglers plenty of options for their approach in tackling the water with open water spots, underwater shelves, reed laden margins and some tempting island chucks.
For the pleasure and match anglers we have the 2 acre Snipes Lake boasting 20 decked pegs, giving anglers a very comfortable and stable platform to fish from. Each peg gives access to plenty of features including several islands and overhanging trees. A well-stocked mixed lake with Carp to 15lb, Perch to 4lb, Bream to 6lb, Roach to 2lb and plenty of Golden Rudd and Skimmers to keep bites coming all day long. If your looking to do something different with the children over the weekends then come along and our staff will always help make sure the float keeps going under!
The Lodge has been completely remodelled and is now home to our Café and Bar, with freshly cooked food available all day, hot and cold drinks and a selection of alcoholic beverages. We also have a range of end tackle and bait available including fishery pellets.
A cosy fire in the corner, tweed sofas and a T.V give a comfortable place to sit if you need a rest from the fishing action or to get out of the Great British weather the North West is so famous for.
Shower and toilet facilities are also available for anglers use.

Boasting 11 wood chipped pegs, giving you a clean and comfortable area to set up on each peg has access to a generous amount of water with plenty of features to fish to suit everyone's preferred style of fishing.
12 hour day tickets are available midweek for those wanting to do a day session on the water. We also offer on-site help and friendly guidance for those who are new to the sport so come along and don't be afraid to ask one of our staff for any advice or help you need.

We also offer a drop off, pick up service. For £4 we will drop your gear to your chosen peg, using our quad bike and trailer, and at the end of your session we will pick your gear up and deliver it back to your car.

We operate a first come first served basis for Woodcock lake and demand is already high so we recommend you secure your dates early through our online booking system.
Snipes Lake
Snipes Lake is our pleasure and match water at 2 acres accommodating up to 20 anglers with each peg having plenty of features to fish to both close in and further out. There are several islands and lots of overhanging trees to fish to but you can catch very well both in open water and the margins.
Snipes lake contains very hard fighting Carp from 3lb to 15lb so please do not leave your rod unattended as bites can be vicious and result in your rod being pulled in within a matter of seconds. Carp can be caught on a variety of methods, from float, to pole to bomb and method feeder. Big weights are expected during the summer months so make sure you get some breakfast from the Cafe on arrival!
In addition to the Carp, the lake is also stocked with some stunning silver fish including Roach to 2lb, Bream to 6lb and some belly busting perch that go to nearly 4lb. For those who enjoy catching silver fish or want almost non-stop action (great for keeping the kids busy) then a simple maggot/worm and float/pole set up will see you quickly into the fish.
